Born on April 16, 2015, “Abby” came to our farm at two weeks old. The Amish dairy farmer we bought her from is certified organic and sells his milk to Organic Valley.
The first five images are of Abby as a younger heifer, about six months old. The others were taken last fall. She stands about 51″ to her shoulders and weighs approximately 790 lbs.
Abby always has access to certified organic pasture, hay, and clean water… never given grain, corn or soy. 100% GMO Free! She respects barbed wire and is trained on electric fencing on pasture: Poly/stainless single strand of hot wire on insulated posts.
Abby was confirmed A1/A2 through the UC Davis Genetics Laboratory and is fully capable of producing high quality, A2/A2 calves for you just like many of our other A1/A2 cows do.
Abby ran with our A2/A2 bull, Austin, last summer. She gave birth to a bull calf (Sterling) on February 23, 2017. Sterling nursed from Abby twice a day for his first 3 months then was switched to once a day for another 6 weeks. He is out on pasture everyday and has never seen grain.
Abby had a second run with our bull Austin and she has been confirmed pregnant by our vet with an approximate due date of February 27, 2018.
The required brucellosis and TB testings have all been completed. She can be delivered for free in our enclosed trailer, please visit our FAQ page for details on this.
